Fertilizers Europe has signed a joint statement with various European entities in the agri-food sector in reference to "Farm to Fork". In relation to fertilisers, Fertilizers Europe stresses that since 50 per cent of global food production is due to the use of mineral fertilisers, the industry plays a vital role in ensuring a resilient European agriculture, providing citizens with affordable food and nutritious. Key to meeting Europe's ambitious goal of reducing nutrient losses and ensuring that soil fertility is not impaired will be greater efficiency in the use of nutrients, establishing plans for their management, and developing and adopting precise fertilization techniques. .
